- 250g Plain flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1 tbsp Cornflour (cornstarch)
- 1/2 tsp Sea salt
- 100g Chocolate chips

- 1 Egg (to be added by recipient)
Instructions
- Clean and dry a 750ml wide-mouth glass jar completely before starting.
- Pour the light brown soft sugar into the bottom of the jar and press it down firmly with a spoon to create a flat, even layer.
- Whisk the plain flour, baking powder, cornflour, and sea salt together in a small bowl until well combined.
- Carefully pour the flour mixture over the packed sugar layer to create the second distinct stripe.
- Add the chocolate chips as the third layer, then top the jar with the colorful M&Ms.
- Seal the lid tightly and attach a gift tag with instructions to add 125g softened butter and 1 egg when baking.
Notes
For the best visual results, wipe the inside of the jar with a clean cloth after adding the flour layer to remove any dust before adding the chocolate. If the jar has extra space at the top, you can add more chocolate chips to ensure the ingredients don’t shift and mix during delivery.
